Welcome to Roll the World

Video Narration:

I like going on adventures with my family, but sometimes it is challenging due to my chronic illness. I’ve faced a lot of obstacles and I’ve learned a lot and I want to share it with you. I have an autoimmune illness, called Lupus. It not only causes me chronic pain, it makes me sensitive to the sun. So you will see me wearing lots of UPF clothing.

You know laughter is the best kind of medicine. Visiting an amusement park can be fun, but you need to know your limits. Talk to your doctor in advance. Everyone is different. I’m giving you some tips and tricks for when you travel, but please consult with your physician.

Most amusement parks have a disability access guide available online. And so I like to take that in with me a few weeks before I’m planning a trip and discuss with my doctor what restrictions I might have before I travel.  So if you aren’t sure if you should ride something, err on the side of caution because you don’t want to end your vacation by a trip to the emergency room.
